Privacy Policy

This English version is provided for convenience. The German Datenschutzerklärung is legally binding.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Rami Khaldi – Intelligence & Cyberdefense Solutions
c/o Postflex #3527, Emsdettener Str. 10, 48268 Greven, Germany
Mobile: +49 172 643 654 9 · Email: info@bitsupervisor.com
For confidential messages you can use our PGP key.

2. Principle

This website uses no analytics, tracking or marketing cookies and embeds no third-party content. Our hosting provider Wix sets technically necessary cookies (for example client-session-bind) that are required to operate the website securely. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Fonts are served from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or any other third-party service. For reach measurement we use our own cookieless method (section 4).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd. When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, referrer URL) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. The subdomain static.bitsupervisor.com (for example for our PGP key and the reach measurement described in section 4) is provided by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (AWS) in Frankfurt am Main. We do not keep access logs with IP addresses for this subdomain. The data processing agreement with AWS is part of the AWS service terms.

4. Cookieless reach measurement

To understand how our website is used, which organisations are interested in our offering, and to detect abuse, we use our own, self-operated measurement. It uses no cookies and does not read device information such as screen size, fonts or time zone.

When you open a page, your browser sends the following to our subdomain static.bitsupervisor.com: the page viewed, the referring page (referrer, without parameters) and, when you leave, the time spent on the page. We also evaluate information that is technically transmitted with every request anyway: browser and operating system (user agent), preferred language, TLS version, and information derived from your IP address: country, region, city, network operator (autonomous system) and the public DNS name of the IP address (reverse DNS), which may reveal an organisation.

Your full IP address is not stored, only a truncated form (for example 91.12.34.x). To count unique visitors we create a pseudonymous value that changes daily and cannot be reversed; no profiles across days are created. The data is processed by AWS in Frankfurt am Main, delivered to us as email notifications and a daily summary, and deleted after 30 days; this also applies to the notification emails.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is measuring the reach of our offering to business customers and securing our website. No transfer to third countries is intended; should AWS transfer data in individual cases, it is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

If your browser sends a “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal, no measurement takes place. You can also object at any time here; this stores only the entry bs-optout in your browser:

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the details you provide (for example name, email address and the content of your request) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links

This website links to external sites, for example the sources we cite. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click such a link; their privacy policies then apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence or of the controller's establishment.
